EDB supplies the budgeting model for the Norwegian national budget
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - (Oslo, 10 February 2010) The Norwegian Government Administration Services agency(GAS) and EDB have entered into an agreement for the development and operationof Budmod, which is the model used to simplify the preparation of the Norwegiannational budget. The agreement runs for one year, with an option to extendthrough to 2014."The national budget is perhaps the most important document produced anywhere inthe public sector. EDB has been responsiblefor support and development of the solution ever since it first went intoproduction.The solution handles the production and maintenance of budget data. It providesstandard formats for aggregating and presenting data for the national budget,together with reporting functionality and interfaces for transferring budgetdata between the Ministry of Finance and the other ministries.
