Critical Infrastructure Protection – Latest Requirements for: Energy, Transport, ICT, Public Security
The seminar shows successful ways of applying the rules of European Commission’s Directive on European Critical Infrastructure Protection and of designing a proper action plan. The event, held by the European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law, is taking place 15th to 16th March, in Berlin, Germany.
(firmenpresse) - In the last years new international threats have emerged, making it necessary to add a European dimension to national Security Protection in order to manage the arising risks.
With the Directive 2008/114/EC the European Commission introduced an obligation on member states to identify and design European Critical Infrastructure (ECI). Since the Directive has been in force national authorities and private owners of infrastructure have been confronted with numerous challenges: identifying ECI, applying the rules of the Directive, designing cross border cooperation, involving the private sector and cooperating with private stakeholders most effectively. European Critical Infrastructure resilience can only be achieved through proper and practical crisis and risk management, disaster recovery and security plans. To be able to design a proper action plan on ECI public authorities and private companies in order to establish a dialogue that is as informative as possible.
The European seminar Critical Infrastructure Protection presents specific knowledge regarding Critical Infrastructure and the latest developments and main issues connected with the identification of ECI. Participants will learn how to set up successful cooperation and dialogues between private and public stakeholders. The seminar provides useful best practical examples, including how to make ECI more resilient through effective practical contingency planning.
The seminar is targeting public authorities and private companies responsible for the establishment of Action Plans and who are involved in the identification, planning and implementation of protection for critical infrastructure sites.
