P? awarded board mill engineering for SAICA in the UK
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - P?RY PLC Company Announcement 2 February 2010 at 9.45 a.m.P? has been awarded an engineering contract by SAICA Containerboard UK Ltdfor one of the world's most advanced recycled paper mills to be built atPartington Wharfside, near Manchester, UK. The value of P?'s assignment isabout EUR 5 million. P?'s assignment includes complete plant and civilengineering for the paper mill and stock preparation.The new PM11 will produce 425 000 t/a of high performance lightweight flutingand testliner grades to be used in the manufacture of corrugated boxes. The 100per cent recycled fibre-based PM incorporates the best available boardmakingtechnology including low energy and fresh water consumption. The new PM isscheduled to start up at the beginning of 2012.This assignment is a continuation to previous good cooperation between SAICA andP? in a number of projects in Spain and it further strengthens P?'sposition as the leading engineering solutions provider for the boardmakingindustry.SAICA is the biggest Spanish paper and board manufacturer and one of the mostenvironmentally efficient companies in Europe.
