VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – February 04, 2010 - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: SRL.V) is pleased to report that in anticipation of shortly recommencing it’s exploration activities that Mr. John Buckle P.Geo, P.Geoph., has joined the Salazar technical team on a full-time basis and will be the Company’s qualified person for reporting purposes under NI 43-101. Mr. Buckle is a geophysicist with over 35 years experience in the design, execution, interpretation and marketing of a wide range of geophysical survey techniques for the resource and environmental industries.
Since 1998, Mr. Buckle has been the principal of Geological Solutions, a geological consulting firm, specializing in geophysical and geological exploration work. During this time Mr. Buckle worked on precious and base metal projects in Canada, USA, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. From August 1995 to October 1998, Mr. Buckle was Vice President Business Development of Quantec Geoscience, a geological consulting firm. Mr. Buckle has a B.Sc. from York University and a Geological Technicians Certificate from Sault College. Among his many accomplishments Mr. Buckle was the President of the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society and President of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario 2003-2004..

The Company is still awaiting final authorization to recommence drilling and exploration and has been recently issued their permanent water permit replacing the temporary issue. Final authorization is expected shortly.
