(Thomson Reuters ONE) - For Immediate Release7.00am 27 January 2010 Hygea VCT plc ("Hygea" or "the Company") Corporate UpdateHygea VCT has sent the following corporate update letter to its Shareholderstoday:Dear Shareholder,I am pleased to provide you with an update since my last letter to you inNovember 2009 and in particular explain the use of the funds received from ourrecent disposal of BioAnaLab and DxS.As I intimated in my last letter, we have decided to declare an interim dividendof 10p per ordinary share payable on 5th March 2010 to shareholders on theRegister on 5th February 2010. We also intend to propose a final dividend of 5pper ordinary share for approval at the Annual General Meeting which will be heldon 6th May 2010. We expect that you will receive the audited accounts for theyear ended 31st December 2009 in early April and these will contain the Noticeof the Annual General Meeting.In the last three months we have made follow-on investments into FreehandSurgical of £300,000, Glide of £100,000, Insense of £200,000 and £250,000 into anew investee company - Exosect, a developer of pest control solutions based onbiology rather than chemicals. Freehand Surgical is the successor company ofProsurgics which required a reorganisation to focus on the camera holding robotwhich has been developed for use by keyhole surgeons. We expect to make threemore follow-on investments into existing investee companies in the next twomonths and are exploring two new opportunities which have been presented to us.In order to assist shareholders to use our Sharemark trading facility, we intendto explain this via a webconference.
