Peter Holmlund appointed Managing Director for Metro International's
global online division

("Metro International" or "the Company"),the international newspaper group, today announced that PeterHolmlund, Executive Producer of MSN.se in Sweden, has been appointedManaging Director of Metro International's global online division.Mr. Holmlund has an extensive background from online media and joinsMetro International from a position as Executive Producer at MSN.sewhere he initiated and implemented a restructuring process of MSN'sorganization. Following these changes, MSN became the most visitedwebsite in Sweden in the summer of 2008. During Mr. Holmlund's tenureat MSN, the share of online revenues derived from its portalactivities increased from 30% to 50%.Between March 2005 and December 2006, Mr. Holmlund worked at MetroInternational as Editor-in-Chief for Global Online.
