From Loch Ness through the Iron Curtain to the Medal of Honour
25 hellish obstacle challenges for the participants of
the fun marathon ROCKSTAR BraveheartBattle 2010
(firmenpresse) - Bad Kissingen, Germany, December 2009 – "Go through hell..." is the motto of ROCKSTAR BraveheartBattle 2010, the spectacular fun run. The details of the obstacles which have to be mastered by the participants during this 18 km run within 3 hours give you an idea of how hellish the „hell of Muennerstadt“ will really be: 15 obstacles have been installed by the organizer; 10 of these obstacles will have to be mastered even twice by the runners. The very names of the obstacles are alarming: they are called „Loch Ness“, „ROCKSTAR Brave Wall, „Hell Pipes", Death Valley" „Sludge Zone", „Soapy Rope" or „Iron Curtain", and demand a great deal of power, courage, perseverance and ability to suffer. Only the bravest of the braves will master the hell course; their reward being fame, honour and the „Medal of Honour“.
A good shape is by far not enough to be one of the bravest: Real Bravehearts mustn’t be afraid of cold water and muddy shoes, have to manage slippery ropes, crawl through dark pipes on all fours and climb high walls and scaffolds. The crossing of barriers from tires or tree trunks with break-neck jumps will be more than challenging, and the diabolical, difficult slalom course demands quickness and skilfulness at the same time. Each false step will be cursed….
The rules of the ROCKSTAR BraveheartBattle 2010 are clear: The participants have 3 hours to master the 15 km course with 24 obstacles. Leaving out an obstacle will lead to immediate disqualification - it is allowed to continue the run, but the participant will not become an official Braveheart.
The organizer doesn’t want to disclose too many details about the obstacles in advance. However, the obstacle names and descriptions give an imagination of what participants may expect:
1.Loch Ness: Dark depths require all your courage, right after the start.
2.ROCKSTAR Brave Wall: Only few have what it takes to get beyond them - and in the end they reach the goal as real Bravehearts after having mastered the obstacle of title sponsor ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK.
3.Creep Trench: The Bravehearts have to crawl on all fours and eat dust to overcome this obstacle.
4.Step Peel: No stumbling on these steps in heady heights – or out you go!
5.Death Valley: This hellish 2 km trail will kill you, Bravehearts
6.Hell Pipes: Up and down you go, over and over again…..
7.Sludge Zone: This swamp will keep dragging the Bravehearts down; they’ll need all their strength to escape it!
8.Hoop Tomb: A real „bone crusher“, requiring jumping power and skill.
9.Soapy Rope: Slippery and vibrating. Who loses ground will take a plunge.
10.Hamburger Hill: This hill will press all air out of the runners’ lungs.
11.Water Zone: Kneipp-cure a la hell
12.Iron Curtain: If the Bravehearts are inattentive for even just 1 second, they’ll drop dead.
13.Riverdance: Horrible dance through stony rivers
14.Woodpecker: Bravehearts aiming at the Medal of Honour: The organizer will give them a leg up….
15.Straw Hump: A hellish climbing obstacle combination, which will sort the wheat from the chaff.
Apart from obstacle 1, 9, 13, and 14, all obstacles have to be mastered twice. The winner of ROCKSTAR BraveheartBattle 2010 is the person who is measured the shortest time to reach the goal.

The starting fee of the ROCKSTAR BraveheartBattle 2010 is 54 Euro inclusive of starter pack and T-Shirt. Groups of 5 or more participants are subject to a 10% discount on the starting fee. Venue is Muennerstadt in Lower Franconia. The time for applications ends on January 2010.
