United Planet launches out-of-the-box automated ‘Invoice Audit’

In many companies, processing incoming invoices is dealt with rather unsatisfactorily – the procedure is often error-prone and time-consuming. The new ‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’ from United Planet puts an end to that. As the first out-of-the-box solution, it automates the entire checking process and significantly speeds up invoice processing.

(firmenpresse) - United Planet, one of the leading developers of Enterprise Portal software in Europe, has announced the launch of ‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’, the first out-of-the-box automated invoice checking and processing application for Enterprise Portals. Designed to reduce processing errors associated with traditional labour intensive paper-based procedures, the new application will help companies to significantly increase the speed with which invoices can be processed.

Commenting on the launch, Axel Wessendorf, managing director at United Planet, said: “Many companies are frustrated by traditional methods for processing incoming invoices and are looking to introduce a faster and more transparent approach for this business critical activity. Instead of handing paper invoices from desk to desk for checking until they finally reach the accounts department for payment, ‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’ manages the entire process electronically. This not only saves a lot of time but also provides a more accurate view of cash discount periods and payment dates, enabling companies to track liquidity much more effectively and ensure that missed payments are a thing of the past.”

‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’ automatically notifies staff designated as invoice auditors by email when new invoices are received and allows them to set an individual verification procedure for each invoice, based on the amount of the invoice or the department it applies to, for example. Auditors are able to approve the invoice with one click before it is automatically forwarded to the next auditor or, if the end of the procedure has been reached, to the accounts department for payment. All invoices are assigned a transaction number and archived revision-safe on the portal. Invoice auditors are provided with an overview of all invoices that are still to be verified, with details displayed on the home page of their individual Intrexx Enterprise Portal.

The creation of discount periods and due dates ensures that default interest is avoided and that discounts can be used effectively. The management team and Head of Accounts can identify how many invoices are in circulation and where they are in the auditing process, at any time. This makes the whole procedure significantly more transparent.

‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’ is available at a price of EUR 798. Companies not yet using an Intrexx Enterprise Portal can use the ‘Intrexx Invoice Audit’ if they also acquire an application licence (EUR 1,940), which allows them to use the application across the company and at any location.
