Amcor Flexibles wins two Scanstar awards
Amcor Flexibles is proud to announce that last night we received two Scanstar awards which recognize our know how in innovative and responsible packaging solutions for sliced charcuterie. The awards were presented at the official opening of the Scanpack exhibition in Gothenburg, Sweden.
(firmenpresse) - The two winning entries are Amcor EasyPack, used to pack Atria's range of sliced meat products; and Finsbråten, Variovac and Amcor's innovative double pack, used to pack Finsbråten's sliced meat assortment.
The rewarded Amcor EasyPack adds to consumer convenience through easy opening and reclosability. Consumers simply peel back the airtight flap, pull out the tray and place it on their kitchen table. If the contents are not consumed in one go, the tray can be pushed back into the pack. To close the pack, one simply removes the adhesive tape and presses the flap down. The jury accredited the pack's contribution to food waste reduction and increased hygiene level through its reclose functionality.
For the award winning double pack, Amcor Flexibles delivered the top and base web. The pack contains two compartments on top of each other, separated by an interlayer, with four slices of charcuterie in each compartment. Consumers can open one individual compartment and keep the second portion of charcuterie fresh for later consumption. The jury described the pack as an elegant solution to reduce food waste and acknowledged the minimal amount of material used.
