EGM approves appointment Nutreco Executive Board members
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - We are pleased to announce that today, the Extraordinary GeneralMeeting of Shareholders approved Nutreco's proposal to appointMessrs. Jerry Vergeer, Knut Nesse and Frank Tielens as members of theExecutive Board next to CEO Wout Dekker and CFO Cees van Rijn. Theappointments as Executive Vice President are for a period of 4 years,effective July 1, 2009 and terminating on June 30, 2013.Mr J.A. Vergeer (1963), Canadian, is responsible for the divisionAgriculture (compound feed and meat businesses). Mr J.A. Vergeerbegan his career with Maple Leaf Foods (Canada) and held variousmanagement positions, as of 2005 as President, in Maple Leaf FoodsAnimal Nutrition. Since the acquisition of Maple Leaf AnimalNutrition by Nutreco in 2007, he is President of Nutreco Canada. MrJ.A. Vergeer gained an extensive knowledge and experience of theanimal nutrition business in North America where Nutreco Canada is amarket leader.Mr K. Nesse (1967), Norwegian, is responsible for the divisionAquaculture (global fish feed businesses). Mr K. Nesse started hiscareer in 1992 with the Scana group in Stavanger and joined Nutreco'sSkretting Norway in 1995. Mr K. Nesse has extensive knowledge of theaquaculture business and has held different positions withinSkretting fish feed businesses. During his career, he was posted toChina and Chile and has the required international experience tomanage this global business. In April 2006, he was appointed asManaging Director of Skretting Salmon Feed.Mr F.J. Tielens (1962), Dutch, is responsible for the divisionSpecialties (global premix and feed specialties businesses). Mr F.J.Tielens began his career in 1988 at AkzoNobel's Chemicals Division,where he held positions with increasing responsibility until 1998.From 1999 to 2004 he was General Manager of Organon, AkzoNobel'sPharma Division, in Venezuela and Germany. In 2005, he assumed theposition of President of Diosynth Biotechnology in the USA and wasExecutive Vice President of global business development forOrganon/Schering Plough in the USA.
