Resource estimate to 14 June 2009:+------------------------------------------------+| Category | > 0 g/t gold || |----------------------------------|| | tonnes | g/t gold | ounces ||-------------+-----------+----------+-----------|| Indicated | 1,250,000 | 15.0 | 603,000 ||-------------+-----------+----------+-----------|| Inferred | 2,730,000 | 8.9 | 777,000 ||-------------+-----------+----------+-----------|| Grand total | 3,980,000 | 10.8 | 1,380,000 |+------------------------------------------------+Geoff Davis, Managing Director of Medusa, commented:"The continuing growth of the Co-O Mine resource at a very robustgold grade testifies the quality of this asset. We expect resourcegrowth to continue, especially to the east as more drilling isundertaken. This work will focus primarily on extending Co-O'sshallower resources where mine infrastructure can be expanded at lowcapital costs. In addition drilling will focus on nearby vein systemswhere there is the real opportunity to make new discoveries."RESOURCE ESTIMATIONSDiscussionDiamond drilling has continued since the past resource estimateannounced on 19 January 2009 with the aim of infilling and extendingthe Co-O vein system to depth and along strike. A total of 51 drillholes have been completed (as announced on 22 June 2009) since theprevious resource estimation and included in the current resourceestimation in conjunction with available underground sampling dataand excluding mined material. The first modelled vein (East Agsao Vein) east of the Agsao River hasbeen included in this estimation. It is anticipated that significantresources will be defined as drilling along the veins in this areaprogresses and continuity increases. The infill drilling has increased the confidence levels for veininterpretations and consequently an increase in the IndicatedResources to 603,000 ounces (from 480,000) as shown in Table I. Thisincrease in Indicated Resources is expected to translate into asignificant upgrade of the mine's reserve base.Figure 1 ((please see the link at the end of this announcement) isthe composite map of the Co-O Mine area showing the location of drillholes MD 114 to 165 and the projection of veins onto Level 5.Table II is a summary of the veins containing more than 50,000 ouncesof resources.Resource drilling is continuing with the aim of defining severalpoorly defined veins within the mine area, to expand the resources tothe east and to undertake first pass drilling on other vein systemsadjacent to the Co-O Mine.Table II. It should be noted that the newunderground development work between the Agsao and 8E Shafts isindicating that vein orientations are more east-west. It isanticipated that additional north-south oriented faulting will beidentified as the along-vein development proceeds. It expected thatthese orientations will be clarified in the next resource statement, and may not materially affect the resources in this area of the mine.Cube Consulting Pty Ltd of Perth, Western Australia was contracted toundertake the resource estimations. A wireframe model of the veinsystem and the mine depletions were based on all availableinformation as at 14 June 2009. A 2D longitudinal modelling approachwas used and is based on an accumulation variable incorporatingmineralised vein horizontal width and intercept grade. Variographywas used to analyse the spatial continuity of the horizontal widthand accumulation variables within the mineralised veins and todetermine appropriate estimation inputs to the interpolation process. The accumulation variables were interpolated into blocks usingOrdinary Kriging. High grade limits were applied to gold prior tothe calculation of the accumulation variable. Mineral resources havebeen reported in accordance with The 2004 Australasian Code forReporting of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code). For further information, please contact:Medusa Mining Limited +61 8 9367 0601Geoffrey Davis, Managing DirectorRoy Daniel, Finance DirectorFairfax I.S.
