(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Rautaruukki Corporation Stock exchange release 3 July 2009 at 14:15Due to weak demand in the shipbuilding industry, Ruukki Engineeringis to reorganise its operations at its Mo i Rana plant in Norway. Theplant's main products are shipbuilding profiles although flangeprofiles for windmill towers have been the fastest growing productsector in recent years.Mill operations will change over to working one shift instead of two.Adjustment to production will result in the reduction of 137 jobs atthe plant. These reductions will take place during the autumn."The Mo i Rana plant will focus on the production of flange profilesfor windmill towers since the wind power sector continues to grow. Atthe same time, the shipbuilding industry is suffering heavily fromthe economic downturn.
