Major extension of Sørlandssenteret
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap AS and Vital Forsikring ASA, which togetherown the shopping mall Sørlandssenteret, signed a development contractyesterday with the Veidekke company Br. Reme AS, worth NOK 570million, for expansion of Sørlandssenteret. The contract is forconstruction of 73,000 sq m of retail premises and a 37,000 sq m carpark.Executive Vice President of the Olav Thon Group ÿystein Trøseid saysthe project will be undertaken in two phases. Work will startimmediately after the summer holidays this year, with phase 1 due forcompletion in autumn 2011 and phase 2 in autumn 2013."This is one of the largest building projects we have everundertaken, and is a pleasing development of a very successful retailcentre for us and Vital Forsikring," says Executive Vice Presidentÿystein Trøseid.The Veidekke company Br.
