Dutch Railways chooses LBi Lost Boys again!

(Thomson Reuters ONE) - PRESS RELEASEStockhom/Amsterdam, 8 July 2009More than twenty agencies recently responded to the Europeantendering procedure issued by the Dutch Railways (NS) in its searchfor a web design agency. After a number of rigorous selectionrounds, the three remaining agencies were asked to tackle the NS'long-term online strategy and develop a solution for a case study. Ofthe three competitors, LBi Lost Boys emerged as the winner. For LBI Lost Boys the challenge was even greater since they have beenfulfilling this role for the NS since 2005. Last year the redesign ofNS.nl, for which LBi Lost Boys was responsible, was launched.Emmelien Kneppers, strategist at LBi 'As you can imagine, such aprocedure was not easy for us as the current partner. On the otherhand, of course, this was the perfect opportunity to rethink how welook at the challenges confronting the NS. In doing so, we focused onour advantages: our active involvement with the NS brand and ourpassion for the online medium. A lot will be going on at the NS inregard to their online activities in coming years, and we think it'sfantastic that we can be part of this.'The efforts of LBi Lost Boys, just as those of the other agencies, were carefully considered on the basis of the contracting criteriaestablished by the NS. Ultimately, LBi Lost Boys was selected again.Ingrid Thomassen, Head of multichannel management at NS 'We alreadyknew that we were working with a top-notch agency. It was nice to seethat this could also be demonstrated on the basis of objectivecriteria. We expect Lost Boys, with all their expertise andenthusiasm, to be supporting us in our online activities for years tocome.'For further information please contact:Patrick Boom, LBi LostBoys+31 20 4604500, patrick.boom(at)lbi.lostboys.nlIngrid Thomassen, NS Head of multichannel managementingrid.thomassen(at)ns.nlSarah van Praagh, Press contact, LBi UK +44 20 7063 6465, Sarah.VanPraagh(at)LBi.comEva Ottosson, Group Communications Manager, LBI International AB+46 709 41 21 40, eva.ottosson(at)lbi.comAbout LBi:LBi is a global digital marketing and technology agency, blendinginsight, creativity and expertise to solve business problems.
