Bielefeld (Germany), June 12, 2009 – In a comparison for ERP systems, GPS Gesellschaft für Prüfung von Software mbH and MQ result consulting AG tested the state of technology for 2009. With its it.manufacturing solution, the SAP consulting house itelligence won first place in multi-site solutions for ERP systems with the best rating – both from the technical jury as well as from the public.

On April 20 and 21, 2009, the ERP systems of SAP represented by itelligence, IFS applications represented by IFS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Microsoft Dynamics AX represented by KCS and Infor with ERP LN competed in a three-hour presentation and public evaluation. By means of a predetermined scenario, each provider was given the task of demonstrating how they transact various business processes within a corporate group.

In addition to fulfilling the required processing functions, the capability of each team to implement the given tasks in the system and present the solutions to the audience of ERP experts from manufacturing and trade was also evaluated. One of the challenges was how to present the processes within a corporate group without confusing the audience. And the winner is the team of the SAP consulting house, itelligence AG with it.manufacturing based on SAP Business All-in-One.

The scenario for this system comparison corresponded to day-to-day ERP usage at an accelerated pace. The process chains of CRM, order processing including production and delivery as well as service were run through, and their results were examined in Controlling. Everything was there – customer acquisition with a campaign, customer visits and the offer, cross-company scheduling and confirmation, production and delivery with export to a foreign country, and final cost calculation with evaluation and analysis. In order to make the competition as realistic as possible, the testers also included spontaneous changes during the project such as a change to the production order after release from internal to external production or changes to packaging according to requirements and customs declaration via ATLAS.
