University Alliances Community quickly growing fast –
information, exchange, and projects
(firmenpresse) - More than 40,000 people have signed up in just a few
weeks: An increasing number of students and professors
from across the globe are using the University Alliances
Community. The online portal offers not only teaching
materials and demos of current SAP products but also
access to the international SAP network.
According to Dr. Bob LoBue, Vice President of Global
University Alliances at SAP, the University Alliances
Community (UAC) is much more than a free Web site with a
wealth of information. As well as making available survey
results, templates, academic publications, and customer
stories, it provides ample opportunity for members to
exchange ideas, both with each other and with the 1.5-
million-strong SAP community network. Even joint research
projects are possible.
LoBue places particular emphasis on interaction that gives
students and professors the chance to connect with SAP
experts and companies throughout the world. “Students
might meet people in the community and impress them
enough to be offered a job,” he says.
Because it enables students to get to grips with ERP
software in general and with SAP solutions in particular,
LoBue believes the community will benefit IT service
providers and companies in the long term. “In order for our
partners and customers to grow, they need to know that
there is a population of qualified professionals they can
hire,” he explains.
