2. International PORAVER Sales Meeting titled: "exchange of dry mortar experiences."
Every two years the German production site in Post-bauer-Heng and Nuremberg becomes the center of the world for Poraver.
In time for the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, Dennert Poraver GmbH the globally active company organized its second international sales meeting.
This year, as in 2007 at the last event, many sales representatives and partners accepted an invitation to meet with others and to share information in order to learn the latest news: on products and applications as well as business and marketing strategies.
(firmenpresse) - "The three-day event is one of our top-ranking priorities to foster a constructive dialogue with the Poraver community," said Managing Director, Dipl.-Ing. Guido Runkel. The diverse and wide-ranging approaches and application possibilities make it essential to meet on a biannual basis for a mutual exchange of information. Many new developments arise from country-specific customer requirements.
The three day meeting was divided into three sections. During the practical part, the participants were acquainted with the current production process. Subse-quently, the technical center was presented. In the production plant a small scale model of the entire pro-duction process was replicated. A new application la-boratory was set up for customized formulation development especially for customers and prospects from the dry mortar and construction chemical products application areas.
The second day was used to attend the first interna-tional dry mortar conference idmmc two. About 180 ex-perts had gathered to discuss the latest state of the technology and future trends.
On the third day the newly gained knowledge and ideas were further developed in workshop seminars.
Because of the many application and usage possibilities of Poraver, in the building material, in the (con-struction-) chemical and plastic industries, among oth-ers, the sales meeting coincided with the European Coatings Show, where experts of this particular indus-try met. Since Poraver is now present in 42 countries each with their own representation, many "Poraver customers" came here as well. As a result, our booth was the perfect platform for highly technical questions and specific application requirements that could be di-rectly addressed by the product managers.

One ball and its many talents
Very low weight with high compressive strength, excellent thermal and sound insulation properties, chemical and alkali resistance. In addition Poraver is non-flammable, weather resistant, does not provide a breeding ground for bacteria and prevents silicosis threats due to its amor-phous glass structure. These seamless quality characteristics established Poraver as a good lightweight aggre-gate.
Various usage and application areas
Long ago Poraver has seen its application beyond the building material industry and is used in many other application areas, whether in structured wallpaper, kitchen counter tops or in products of the construction chemicals industry. The continuous development and optimization of the manufacturing process of Poraver enables the pro-duction of fineporous spherical granules in pristine-quality (free of particles) with grain sizes between microscopic small 0.04 mm to 16 mm in diameter. Therefore new application areas are constantly opening up, whether in the production of high quality plastics, modern ship-building or in promising test results in the automobile and the offshore industries.
