SGS provides Free Webinar on Guided Wave Inspection Technique
Are you up to date with Guided Wave Inspection applications and limitations? SGS invites you to attend a free 60-minute webinar to learn more about this inspection method, also known as Long Range Ultrasonic Testing.
(firmenpresse) - SGS invites you to attend a free webinar on a new Non-Destructive Testing method, the Guided Wave Inspection, also known as Long Range Ultrasonic Testing.
It is a relatively new inspection technology using low frequency guided ultrasound waves traveling along a pipe. Guided Wave technology has several advantages as it screens 100% of the volume of the piping inspected for metal loss features such as corrosion and erosion.
These advantages disappear when the technology is not correctly used. SGS aims with this free webinar to enable you to make better choices and have the right expectations. The piping can be in operation, insulated or even be buried. Guided Wave technology will supply more data than you ever had on piping inspections.
The webinar will give a general overview and practical tips on how the Guided Wave inspection fits into piping integrity programs. Attendees can learn more about the applications of Guided Waves and the technical limitations of them. The most efficient inspection approach and the need for follow-up inspections will also be discussed.
The panellist will be Jos de Visser, Technology Specialist Guided Wave at SGS. He will also present two case studies with focus on Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) and Road Crossings.
The Free Webinar on Guided Wave Inspection Technique schedule in English is as follows: Wednesday, 13 May 2009, Thursday, 14 May 2009, Tuesday, 26 May 2009.
