SAP’s Midmarket Strategy – Serving Global Markets Locally
SAP’s Midmarket Strategy: Tailored Solutions, Many Sales Partners
Serving global markets locally / enterprise support with clear added value
(firmenpresse) - SAP.info: Interview with Hans-Peter Klaey
While small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) make up 78 percent of SAP’s customer base, 40 percent of these customers were acquired in just the last two years. And according to Hans-Peter Klaey, SAP’s president of Global SME, SAP will continue to pay special attention to this target group.
In an interview with SAP.info, Klaey describes the products and solutions the company will use to attract even more small businesses and midsize enterprises. SAP’s SME strategy is threefold: market expansion, tailored solutions, and sales and distribution arrangements to provide the global market with industry software through qualified local SAP partners.
A proponent of SAP Enterprise Support, Klaey cites the need to counter criticism of the service by better communicating to customers how it will help them reduce costs. He sees many SMEs doing business in an increasingly global and networked manner, thus facing increasing challenges in maintaining their system landscapes. According to Klaey, this is where SAP Enterprise Support offers clear added value.
