Summer, sun, the Adriatic: Precise Hotel Collection opens a holiday retreat in Montenegro
The Precise Hotel Collection is branching out beyond the German borders, and on 1 June will open a new holiday hotel on Montenegro’s Adriatic Coast. In addition to 200 rooms and suites, the Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro boasts lush, leafy grounds which span 350,000 m2 and are home to restaurants, a bar, swimming pools and a 700-metre-long private sandy beach for all those in search of sun and sea. The Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro is the tenth member of the Group, and has benefited from more than 13 million euros in investment.
(firmenpresse) - Berlin, 18 March 2009. The opening of a holiday hotel by the Mediterranean Sea represents the Precise Hotel Collection’s first venture abroad. Following the acquisition of nine hotels in Germany, the new Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro in Herceg Novi is the first of the Group’s properties to cater exclusively to holidaymakers. “We’re opening on 1 June,” says Ron Ben-Haim, founder and owner of the hotel company, whose headquarters are located in Berlin. The holiday resort in Montenegro is owned by Richard Portugais and is being run and managed by the Precise Hotel Collection. More than 13 million euros has been invested in the new hotel project at the Gulf of Herceg Novi. Portugais is also a co-investor of several of the Precise Group’s German properties. “This season we will begin running the business as a holiday hotel in the classic sense. The aim is to gradually develop a club-style resort on the highest level,” Ben-Haim continues. Such plans are made possible by the generous size of the hotel’s grounds (350,000 m2). “All kinds of water sports and activities will be on offer from the summer season of the coming year,” says Ben-Haim. This will include surfing and diving courses, and catamaran sailing is also possible. The facilities which are already available this year are, of course, of 4-class superior standard: the 195 rooms and twelve suites have been newly furnished in an elegant, modern style. The light pastel tones of the walls and floors complement the refined wooden furniture, while vibrant fabrics provide a charming contrast. All rooms are equipped with a shower or bath, hairdryer and fridge, as well as air conditioning and a safe. All rooms offer a fantastic view of the deep blue Adriatic, and guests can view breathtaking sunsets from their bed or balcony. Several rooms feature connecting doors and are easily combined to form family rooms. In addition, each room has a sofa which can be used as an extra bed. Free WLAN is available in all rooms and indeed throughout the premises.
European-Mediterranean cuisine, bar, lounge and events programme
Guests spending their well-earned holidays in the Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro will also be spoiled with culinary treats around the clock. In the large restaurant overlooking the sea, guests can enjoy evening buffets encompassing all the tasty delicacies of the European-Mediterranean kitchen. Between 9am and 7pm, guests are invited to the beach restaurant for lunch, snacks, coffee and refreshing cocktails. On the large rooftop terrace, the bar and lounge are open throughout the day and on into the night. Following dinner and a sunset stroll along the beach, you can also enjoy entertaining evening shows here, “on deck”. The programme changes daily. During the mild winter months, the open-air bar is fitted with walls and heating.
A 250 m2 events room offers plenty of natural daylight, on account of its large windows. It is fully air conditioned and offers space for up to 300 delegates. Banquets, weddings and other celebrations of up to 200 guests can also be hosted here.
Free child supervision
As early as breakfast, active guests can swim a few lengths in the large pool located on the rooftop terrace. Alternatively, guests can of course simply read a good book in one of the comfy poolside loungers, or take a midday nap beneath one of the shady parasols. An extra pool especially for children is provided, and great importance is attached to general childcare at the Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro: from 9am until 6pm, trained child care workers offer all the entertainment children could wish for while on holiday. Two different age groups are catered for, and children are treated to age-appropriate portions of healthy snacks, fresh fruit and small, vitamin-packed lunches. The supervision is free of charge.
Mediterranean flair and genuine culture
“With an average 270 days of sunshine per year, Montenegro is gaining popularity among German travellers as a warm-water destination,” says Ben-Haim. “In contrast to traditional holiday countries on the Adriatic coast, such as Italy, Greece and, more recently, Croatia, Montenegro is still something of an insider’s tip here,” Ben-Haim continues. The Precise Club Hotel Riviera Montenegro is situated just a few minutes outside of Herceg Novi. This small town, which is home to 12,000 inhabitants, boasts picturesque, winding alleyways, charming squares, cosy cafés, and fortresses dating back centuries. Herceg Novi is approximately 25 km from the airports of Dubrovnik and Tivat. To the north, the Orijen Mountain towers over the region. Beyond it, you find romantic mountain villages, where olive oil is pressed in traditional mills, ham is matured on old wooden balconies, and homemade cheese is dried in the mild maestral breeze. The lush vegetation here is characterised by pine, olive trees and tamarisk trees. A further 250 exotic plant species make Herceg Novi a real botanical garden. To the south, the town sprawls as far as the Bay of Kotor, a part of the Dalmatian coast belonging to Montenegro. Kilometre-long beaches of sand, shingle and therapeutic silt invite you to sunbathe or enjoy long, leisurely walks. A wealth of leisure activities are possible here, from water sports and hiking to climbing and mountain biking. The climate is Mediterranean and the bathing season stretches over five months. Water temperatures exceed 28 degrees in the height of summer. The winter months are also very mild, as the temperature never drops below 9 degrees.
Therapeutic mud at no cost
Located at the end of the beach promenade is the Igalo Institute, a health resort known throughout Europe. The resort’s sludgy, slightly radioactive sand is used as a naturopathic treatment here. Those who do not wish to book a treatment in the therapy centre can do as the locals do, and simply wade through the therapeutic mud on the beach. The silty sand can be applied all over the body and left to work its magic whilst light aerobic exercises or sunbathing are undertaken. This is considered to be an effective method of treating rheumatic complaints, sport-related injuries and skin irritations.
Signs point to growth
Growth at any price is not the chief goal of the Precise Hotel Collection. Alongside acquiring new properties, Ben-Haim is investing just as extensively in the conversion, extension and renovation of existing hotels. It was in this manner that the privately run Myer’s Hotel in Berlin became one of the collection in February of this year. As is the case with the properties located in Rosenheim and Bad Malente (Schleswig-Holstein), the group is presently investing heavily in reconstruction, upgrading and renovation work here. “From April onwards, our hotel in Bad Malente will captivate guests with a brand new wellness and cosmetic area, located within a villa attached to the hotel,” says Ben-Haim. “In Rosenheim we’re currently in the process of refurbishing all 89 rooms and their bathrooms, as well as the public areas such as the lobby and restaurant,” says the hotelier. Beginning in April this year, the first stage of extension work will see 13 rooms added to the current 56 double rooms and suites in the Berlin property. During the second step of the renovation process, the typical Berlin ensemble of front building with inner courtyard will be accentuated, a bar will be integrated, and the current breakfast restaurant will be extended into an all-day restaurant through the addition of a conservatory. Last but not least, the standard rooms and bathrooms will be extensively renovated and equipped with new furnishings.
