EPAL EUR-box pallets with counterfeit-proof control seals
Inferior material quality and neglected safety standards of counterfeited EUR-box pallets evoke enormous risks. Therefore the European Pallet Association EPAL secures its EUR-box pallets with special control seals that are made counterfeit-proof by the worldwide smallest micro colour-code particles SECUTAG®.
(firmenpresse) - EUR-box pallets are one of the most important logistic loading equipments. They must comply with certain material requirements and are especially suited for the transport of goods that are not or only restrictedly stackable. The EUR-box pallets are for example used by the automotive industry and its sub-contractors. But their versatile international use also makes them susceptible to counterfeiting. Inferior material quality and neglected safety standards are the largest risks evoked by counterfeited EUR-box pallets.
While the original is designed for charges up to 1,500 kg, the user cannot rely on the adherence to afforded security standards with counterfeited EUR-box pallets. The operational safety of personnel is at stake when counterfeited loading equipment is in use. Furthermore, transported goods might come to harm in counterfeited EUR-box pallets. Therefore, EPAL has introduced a new security system for the control seals of their EUR-box pallets. The new EPAL control seal consists of a special label which is additionally protected against counterfeiting through an individual micro colour-code. The labels as well as the company code were developed by German 3S Simons Security Systems GmbH especially for EPAL and the use on EUR-box pallets.
The worldwide smallest micro colour-code particles SECUTAG® are accepted as evidence in international courts and have remained forgery-proof for more than a decade. „With this system we have found the optimal solution for our EUR-box pallets, which we openly communicate. In this way counterfeiters are deterred and possible counterfeiting attempts are anticipated. If forgers try to counterfeit the control seals of the EUR-box pallets, these will quickly be detected and withdrawn from circulation“, says Thomas Ulitzsch, Managing Director of the German National Committee (GPAL) of EPAL. The high-performance labels withstand the extreme demands of the logistics industry. The use of the micro colour-code particles guarantees the identification of the EPAL EUR-box pallets as original.
