Safe BlackBerry’s – not only for presidents
The new version of CORISECIO – Mobile PKI now secures RIM BlackBerry with certificate-based encryption of communication. User-friendly and reliable data protection for companies.
January 28th, 2008 – The concerns of many safety surveys mainly aim at the location of the server in the UK and Canada, as all communication with BlackBerry’s is done via them. So also a copy of the e-mail is kept on a server outside the company. CORISECIO – Mobile PKI enables a safe communication, also via the foreign nodes, without affecting the well-known usability of BlackBerry’s.
(firmenpresse) - CORISECIO - Mobile PKI allows the secure and efficient use of mobile devices in companies. The support of BlackBerry’s enhances the product range with security solutions for RIM infrastructures.
CORISECIO uses the standard interfaces of the operating system, to implement security functionality for all applications. Without changing of workflows or applications the secure synchronization of sensitive messages, calendar entries and addresses is ensured. This is done completely transparent for the user.
On the mobile device Mobile PKI stores the certificates and private keys in a safe key store. By linking the key store to the Device ID and/or the SIM card a 2-factor-authentication may be realized, which nearly achieves the security of expensive Smart Cards. The device is locked until entry of the correct password. So the unauthorized access as well as the use of the complete device may be prohibited.
CORISECIO enables an automatic (OTA) roll-out of software and certificates. Authorized by the administrator, software and private keys are installed automatically. There an existing PKI may be used.
Mobile PKI is now available also for RIM BlackBerry. Windows Mobile devices are still supported.
