Berlin-based state-of-the-art solar technology manufacturer Inventux banks on SAP with intelligence

Bielefeld (Germany) – January 20, 2009. Solar technology manufacturer Inventux Technologies AG is something special, not only for the city of Berlin but also for SAP consulting company itelligence, one of the most successful SAP partners for SMEs. This is because Inventux, founded in early 2007 and focusing on the solar industry, began production of silicon-based micromorphous thin-film solar modules at the company headquarters in Berlin on December 4, 2008. In doing so, Inventux Technologies is initiating the production of innovative photovoltaics modules in record time.
At present, around 120 staff members are employed at the newly established plant and the company headquarters in Marzahn near Berlin. Parallel to construction of the plant, SAP consulting company itelligence implemented the company’s entire SAP-based software at the location within a very short period. In March 2008, the introduction of SAP began and was completely finalized in November, ushering in the SAP production start-up.
it.compact hightronics, the highly-developed itelligence solution for SMEs is to be deployed at the plant. The project was carried out in two phases: In the first phase payroll, accounting, plant records, controlling, sales and dispatch as well as materials management were linked with purchasing. This was followed by production planning and production management which were connected directly to the Inventux machinery management software.
All departments and divisions are now working on a fully integrated basis with the SAP system: From creating offers to sales processing and subsequent production through delivery and invoicing. The automated accounting and controlling processes shadow the logistics process throughout. It is worth emphasizing that all the solar modules’ performance parameters (flash values) are transferred from the assembly line into the SAP system directly – via the interface developed by itelligence and Inventux – and are subsequently assessed. A production process with this level of transparency is very rare.
