Physical teaching materials manufacturer 3B Scientific of Hamburg chooses itelligence as SAP consult

Bielefeld, Germany, December 2, 2008 – Physicians, biologists and physicists worldwide use the physical teaching materials of the global leader 3B Scientific for anatomical models and physical teaching materials for studies and instruction – with growing demand. For the Hamburg-based company, this means that further sales growth can be expected in all regions of the world. With the help of itelligence, 3B Scientific is now optimizing its corporate software to the SAP consulting house with comprehensive midsize market experience.
As a first step, the itelligence consultants will replace the existing software Navision in the production locations and later also in the sales offices. itelligence is introducing its SAP industry solution it.manufacturing, which has already been tailored to the specific requirements of the plastics industry, at 3B Scientific, while taking methodological aspects of validation into account. 190 international SAP users from the company divisions of Production, Logistics, PLM, Sales, Inventory, Quality Management, Shipping and Bookkeeping will then work with it.manufacturing as the ERP system in the worldwide locations.
3B Scientific GmbH, with headquarters in Hamburg, has additional production locations in Germany, Hungary, Great Britain and China, and operates sales offices throughout most of the world, including Italy, France, Spain, England, Brazil, Russia, the USA and Japan. The midsize company with 500 employees worldwide and annual sales of around 40 million has thus been able to achieve an export rate of around 90 percent. No wonder that with this organization 3B Scientific is also directly introducing the SAP GTS ATLAS Export System along with the conversion to the new company software, in order to automatically communicate with customs officials.
Manfred Kurland, one of the directors of 3B Scientific, is convinced: “The industry orientation of itelligence as a midsize market consulting house in the SAP arena is a huge plus – our new company software covers all relevant company divisions, and does so beyond country and language boundaries. We expect an optimized IT system and with it optimized processes with a solution with which we can concentrate on our core business worldwide.”
