Pumacy and Imatics present process-based knowledge management solution
Knowledge-based process portal for the management of specialist knowledge and experience based on imatics *ProcessSuite and Pumacy KMmaster ®
(firmenpresse) - Bernburg/Falkensee October 10, 2008 – While more and more business processes are interconnected in organisations, the need for a systematic capturing, documentation, and transfer of process knowledge and specialist experience increases.
During a two year collaboration project Pumacy Systems GmbH and imatics Software GmbH have developed a knowledge-based process portal bringing Pumacy Systems KMmaster ® and imatics *ProcessSuite into a single solution and allowing third-party developers access to the application.
The New Generation Web Architecture (NeGeWA) process portal allows employees to document their own work experiences and to search for specialist knowledge across the organisation. With the integration of web services and portlets third-party developers will be able to implement other service functionalities.
“The management of knowledge and processes in companies should not be seen isolated from each other but organized by a holistic solution,“ says Stefan Zorn, CEO of imatics Software GmbH. “The access to specialist knowledge from complex or time critical processes can significantly reduce cycle times and improve decision-making.“
“Branches with extensive process documentation requirements will primarily benefit from such a combination of organisational knowledge and processes,” adds Dr. Toralf Kahlert, CEO of Pumacy Systems GmbH. “We believe that pharmaceutical and biotech companies would benefit most from our solution.”
Both project partners directly transferred their experiences from the collaboration project into product development. This summer Pumacy Systems GmbH already presented the LifeScience Edition, a customized business solution.
