(firmenpresse) - Frankfurt, 14 July 2008 – Dow Jones News GmbH and Mountain Cleantech AG, an investment company specialising in the cleantech industry, are putting their heads together with a jury of renowned experts to award the first Clean Tech Innovations Award on 7 October 2008.
The award is open to European companies with a turnover of at least €3 million which work in the renewable energies, recycling, energy efficiency, environmental or climate protection sectors and make use of particularly innovative technologies, products or business models.
“European companies are setting the pace in the global cleantech industry,” says Jürgen Habichler, Managing Partner of Mountain Cleantech AG and chairman of the jury. “Through the Clean Tech Innovations Award, we want to do our bit towards strengthening this leading position and encouraging the most innovative companies in our industry.”
The award will be presented during the annual Dow Jones Clean Tech Summit in Frankfurt am Main on 8 and 9 October 2008. This event has become an important meeting place for the European cleantech industry. The two-day conference focuses on trends and potential within the industry, investment strategies and the market’s political and economic framework conditions.

The Dow Jones Clean Tech Summit offers the nominees a unique platform. The ten most innovative companies will have the opportunity to mingle with a high-calibre audience of investors and industry experts on the evening before the conference and make valuable contacts. The winning company will also have the exclusive chance to present itself at the Dow Jones Clean Tech Summit and on Dow Jones’
information platforms.
