Convenient Printing in Modern Thin Client Networks
The print optimization experts at ThinPrint announce a component for terminals with the Windows CE 6.0 operating system.
(firmenpresse) - Thin clients with the Windows CE 6.0 operating system run faster, are more stable, and provide better support for modern multimedia applications. The .print Client for Windows CE 6.0, now available from ThinPrint, provides efficient support of print functions.
With a ThinPrint-OEM Partnership, this new client can now be integrated into the hardware of all thin client manufacturers, including leading companies like Wyse, HP and Igel. In addition to improved user-friendliness of the interface, the new client simplifies printer addressing. With just a mouse-click on the new "Detect Now" button, and the system automatically recognizes the names of the connected LPT printers. LPT and USB printers are automatically recognized and assigned to the correct port. USB printing has also been optimized in the new component. You still get the solution's proven features, such as support of bandwidth management and decompression of print data compressed server-side by the .print Engine. For companies with a dedicated print server, ThinPrint's printer virtualization layer ensures that thin clients can also access native printer drivers for locally connected printers. In this case, the native printer driver is located on the dedicated print server.
