AGPU: Werner Preusker receives the Plastic Sustainability Award 2012
(PresseBox) - The Managing Director of AGPU Werner Preusker is the winner of the Plastic Sustainability Award 2012. The award, which recognises dedication and outstanding service to the sustainable use of plastics and plastic waste, was presented on the occasion of the ?Future of Plastics Recycling? colloquium held on 5 September in Krefeld, by Fraunhofer Umsicht and BKV Beteiligungs- and Kunststoffverwertungsgesellschaft. Mr Preusker unites the tradition and future of the award. The presentation speech was given by the 2011 winner, the co-founder of Forschungsinstitut Kunststoff und Recycling (FKuR) Dr. Edmund Dolfen.
Well-wishers included Dr. Rüdiger Baunemann, member of the executive board of AGPU and Director General of PlasticsEurope Deutschland: "Congratulations! Your great and tireless personal dedication has made this possible. Time and again you have succeeded in motivating the team in the business office, the members of the committees and the PVC value chain for this shared cause". Dr. Marc Schmidt, CEO of Tönsmeier Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG and vice-president EuPR, said: "On behalf of the PVC recyclers I would also like to sincerely congratulate you. Through your extraordinary dedication you have introduced the advantages of a sustainable approach to PVC as a recyclable material into the social discourse".
