(PresseBox) - Offshore wind presents a wealth of opportunities for Europe to generate an increasing amount of energy from renewable energy - ports play a vital role in supporting the European offshore wind developments, especially through port cooperations. The European Union is committed to generate 20% of its needed energy supply from renewable sources by 2020. In order to harness the energy from offshore wind park, European ports need to prepare to meet the challenges that now exist, concerning e.g. transportation and supplies.
