Smolensky Bank at 'A' grade (high creditworthiness, second level).
The National Rating Agency (NRA) confirmed the individual credit rating
Smolensky Bank at 'A' grade (high creditworthiness, second level).
Initially, the individual credit rating at 'A' high creditworthiness, the
second level was assigned to the Bank in 2009 and reaffirmed in 2010.
'The second confirmation of the individual bank's credit rating by the NRA
Russian rating agency makes an authoritative evidence of the stability of
the financial condition of Smolensky Bank, its good market position, high
competitiveness and the positive dynamics in development. Thus, the
National Rating Agency in the number of positive factors took into account
the high level of support from owners, the strategic importance of the Bank
for the Smolensk region and the status of a regional lender to the real
sector of economy, as well as stable liquidity position, a significant
amount of provisions and high level of business activity. There should be
also noted the positive outlook of the National Rating Agency. This
suggests/testifies that Smolensky Bank can be classified as a stable,
successfully developing financial institution'- said Yuri Petruschik, a
management board member of Smolensky Bank.
The demonstrated upward dynamics of financial performance confirms the
success of the Bank announced plans for/of development. The Bank's net
assets increased by 70% - up to 20 billion rubles. As a consequence,
Smolensky Bank took place in the top 150 Russian banks in terms of net
assets, compared with top 200 year earlier. The volume of individuals'
deposits grew by 90%, the balance at the corporate entities accounts
increased by 70%. JSC 'RUSNANO' is one of the Bank's major customer to form
Smolensky Bank's liabilities. Smolensky Bank also fulfilled the plans to
increase/raise its own funds: the Bank's share/Charter capital increased
from 0.745 to 1.5 billion roubles, the Bank's capital as on 01.11.2011 grew
to 2 billion rubles from 0.96 billion a year earlier.
The Bank's Regional structure focused on key areas of business, increased
for the period to 24 offices in the Moscow and Smolensk regions. In the
frames of its strategy, the Bank will go on with the grow of the office
network and geography of business.
