'Call for papers': media technology, acoustics and event-law experts can register their lectures by 15 October

Achim Hannemann is one of 630 Prolight + Sound visitors from 23 countries who combined their visit to the fair in Frankfurt am Main with participation in the congress. Contacts between equals, e.g., with expert system integrators, engineers, service providers, architects and event organisers, are not only important for visitors to the congress but also generate decisive new impulses and valuable business contacts for the speakers. The next opportunity for experienced specialists from the sector to present their latest developments and practical ideas will be during the first three days of Prolight + Sound 2008.

Specialists interested in holding a lecture are requested to register their topics with the congress organisers by 15 October 2007.
This is the eighth time that the Media Systems Congress is to be held parallel to Prolight + Sound and its special area for suppliers of media-technology products and services. With around 40 lectures, the congress is the biggest congress at Prolight + Sound and has developed into a must for numerous trade-fair visitors to whom it is open free of charge in the conference area of Hall 8.1 from 12 to 14 March 2008. Seminars, lectures and panel discussions will be held daily from 9.45 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
The conference will cover topical subjects from the fields of tech¬nology, law and business relating to integrated audio-visual applications: from new technology for acoustic room installation, via transmission-standard compatibility, basic room acoustic knowledge, connections between audio and video, new point-of-sale trends and advertising, to the legal standards to be observed by operators and architects, the Prolight + Sound Media Systems Congress embraces a broad spectrum of practical questions and information. Given the forthcoming new regulations for the allocation of radio frequencies, attention will also be paid to the future of wireless technology.


Together with the integrated Prolight + Sound Media Systems trade fair, Prolight + Sound is the world's biggest international trade fair for audio, lighting, event and communication technology. The last event in March 2007 attracted 26,500 trade visitors from the fields of audio and studio technology, lighting design, event planning and organisation to Frankfurt am Main. Prolight + Sound is held parallel to and perfectly rounded off by the international Musikmesse – International Trade Fair for Musical Instruments, Music Software & Computer Hardware, Sheet Music and Accessories. Visitors of Prolight + Sound enjoy free admission to the Musikmesse.

Prolight + Sound is supported by the Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany (Verband für Licht-, Ton- und Veranstaltungstechnik - VPLT) and European Association of Event Centers (Europäischer Verband der Veranstaltungs-Centren e.V. - EVVC). The fair opens on all four days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
