Atacama to Commence Trading as Sirocco Mining Inc. Effective January 30, 2012

(TSX VENTURE: AAM) ("Atacama" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that effective at the market opening on January 30, 2012, the Company will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under its new name, Sirocco Mining Inc. The new trading symbol of the Company will be "SIM". The new CUSIP number will be 82967T105 and the ISIN CA82967T1057.

Atacama Minerals Corp. is a Canadian company which produces iodine from its Aguas Blancas mine in northern Chile. In addition, the Company has exploration interests in Brazil and West Africa and is actively assessing other opportunities in the resource sector.
