TridonicAtco award for suppliers in recognition of exceptional standards

Dornbirn, November 5, 2008 – For the first time TridonicAtco presented its “Excellent Supplier Award” in October to four top suppliers. The criteria for this award include product quality, reliability of supplies and service level. Ineltro Electronics GmbH, Infineon Technologies AG, Taiwan Semiconductor Europe GmbH and nico Norbert Schmid GmbH were the award winners this year in the various categories. TridonicAtco intends to present the Excellent Supplier Award each year in future.

(businesspress24.com) - Around 300 suppliers throughout the world provide TridonicAtco with individual components. TridonicAtco, a global company based in the Vorarlberg region of Austria, decided to establish a new award for outstanding performance among its suppliers. Up to now there have been certificates for the best; henceforth there will be the annual Excellent Supplier Award.

The name TridonicAtco has long been synonymous with above-average quality, and this was recently confirmed by a survey among customers and business partners. Across all sectors and throughout the entire added-value chain the company offers unique products and services. To ensure that this is the case right from the start of the supply chain, TridonicAtco expects the same high levels of care and quality from its suppliers. To pay tribute to the suppliers who have offered exceptional levels of service TridonicAtco set up a competition for the “Excellent Supplier Award” for the first time this year.

In order to be considered for the award the suppliers had to meet certain criteria. They had to be globally active, in other words supply at least two TridonicAtco works worldwide, complete a certain number of supplies per year with a minimum number of different components, and reach a minimum annual threshold for sales for certain supplies.

Suppliers who meet these criteria are then judged on their reliability, product quality and service level to qualify for the Excellent Supplier Award. The “service level” category comprises a number of subcategories such as innovation, price flexibility, response time and communication skills.

In future the award and the presentation ceremony will be an annual event. This year the following four suppliers received the award: Ineltro Electronics GmbH as a distributor for active and passive components; Infineon Technologies AG for supplies of power semiconductors; Taiwan Semiconductor Europe GmbH for diodes and other components and nico Norbert Schmid GmbH + Co KG for plastics/packages.
