Most Powerful Uplink System for HDTV Applications: Supported by ND SatCom’s SkyRAY Series and New 75
(businesspress24.com) - Friedrichshafen, August 30, 2007 – ND SatCom, an SES ASTRA company, is introducing its new 750 Watt High Power Amplifier (HPA) at IBC 2007 (September 7-11, Amsterdam, booth 1.351) and is extending its mobile satellite portfolio by creating the market’s most powerful SNG uplink system for HDTV applications. Ulrich Kiebler, VP Government & Commercial states: “We’re providing a full range of HD uplink systems. The most powerful set-up is a package which bundles our high-performance SkyRAY MAS 1900 antenna subsystem with our recently developed 750 Watt HPA. With this package, we can cater to the most challenging customer demands and transmission needs, including live outside sports or event broadcasting.” The integrated linearizer increases HPA power capacity and efficiency for transmission of digital signals by 3dB. “Fully redundant HD uplink systems have already been delivered to our customer ‘BFE Studio und Medien Systeme’ based in Mainz, Germany,” says Kiebler. BFE will equip its end customer with SNG vehicles for live broadcasts of Germany’s Premier Soccer League.
